Significant Winter Storm Threat

There is potential for a significant winter storm this weekend. Crippling snowfall totals leading to major shut downs is likely across portions of the state Saturday through Sunday night as very heavy snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expected. The exact placement of the heaviest bands of snow is still wiggling around a bit with forecast models updates.

The National Weather Service states a 60-70% change of exceeding 8 inches and a 30-50% change of exceeded 12 inches. Prepare now for a major Winter Storm and avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary to avoid being stranded on any highways.
